A Federal Capital Territory High Court, Abuja has ordered the interim forfeiture of cash and properties recovered from Ahmed Idris, former Accountant General of the Federation (AGF), by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The forfeited items are a princely sum of $899,900, N304.5 million and 15 choice properties in Kano and Abuja. Idris, AGF in EFCC net over N80bn fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested the serving Accountant General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris, in connection with the diversion of funds and money laundering activities to the tune of N80bn. The Spokesman for the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, said this in a statement on Monday titled, ‘EFCC arrests Ahmed Idris, Accountant General of the Federation, for N80bn Fraud’.
