COVID19: Ogun satellite towns record 3 new cases as Nigeria hit 305

Satelite towns in Ogun State close to Lagos recorded 3 new cases of coronavirus as the total number of positive cases hit 305 in Nigeria.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC confirmed seventeen (17) new COVID-19 cases Friday night. 

Of the positive cases, eight were recorded in Lagos, two in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), three in Kastina, and one each in Niger, Kaduna, Anambra and Ondo states.

According to the NCDC release, so far, 58 patients have been discharged and seven deaths recorded. “Three cases previously included as Lagos state cases were transferred to Ogun state because the three cases live in satellite towns in Ogun close to Lagos.

Therefore, Lagos State has reported 163 confirmed cases while Ogun State has reported 7.”
