The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared Senator Aisha Dahiru, popularly known as Benani, as the winner of the Adamawa Governorship election.
The senator makes history as the first female elected executive governor in Nigeria’s 62 years of nationhood.
Barrister Hudu Yunusa, the Resident Electoral Commissioner for the state made the declaration following the supplementary election held Saturday.
