The inspector-general of police, Alhaji Usman Alkali has ordered an immidiate ban on the use of police SPY vehicle number plates across the country. In a statement on Wednesday, the IGP said the ban is without exception — “irrespective of whether it is authorised or not”. The IGP said all authorisations are also revoked indefinitely.
