Chief Ernest Shonekan, the former head of the Interim National Government, the contraption that succeeded the military junta of General Ibrahim Babangida in 1993, is dead.
He was in charge of the Interim National Government from August 26, 1993 to November 17 of the same year.
He was a former Managing Director and later chairman of UACN Plc.
The 85yr old businessman died in Lagos on Tuesday. He was Abese of Egbaland
