Kayode Shoneye, the honourable member representing Obafemi Owode State constituency in the Ogun State House of Assembly, has appealed to voters in the state to appreciates the good works of Prince Dapo Abiodun, the state governor by voting massively for the All Progressives Congress in the forth coming elections.
Hon. Soleye spoke at a toen hall meeting held at the Local Government Primary School, Orimerunmu in Obafemi Owode Local government of the state.
At the town hall meeting organised by New Dawn Community Development Council, Shoneye said Gov, Dapo Abiodun has performed excellently well across the state despite the very high numbers of abandoned infrastructural projects bequated to his administration by the previous government and that a second term reward would be an opportunity to serve the people of the state more by completing on going projects and initiating more especially in the communities along the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway.
On the issue of the seeming lack of government presence in Orimerunmu despite the fact that the community provided the much needed road infrastructure serving haulage trucks from the nearby dredging sites to the expressway, Shoneye urged the mammoth crowd to show understanding that the dredgers were Federal Government tenants who processed all their papers and approvals from Abuja and that the Ogun State government has little or no control over them.
He therefare appealed to the people of the state to vote massively for all APC candidates in the coming elections as such anomaly are part of what the party’s Presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu would correct if voted to power.
The town hall meeting was attended by political and community leaders from Ofada ward of Obafemi Owode Local Government such as Aare Ayeni, a senatorial leader of the state community development committee, Mr. Lawrence Oyelakin, the Zonal CDC Caretaker Committee chairman, Engr. Adeleke from Ofada ward as well as the Ofada ward chairman of the APC, Dr. Adekunle Anifowose as well as chairman of the host ACDC, Imam Olanrewaju Aliu, among several others
