Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson, has lost her mother, Elizabeth Johnson.
The 33-year-old star, who shared the tragic news via Instagram on Thursday, said she is “deeply saddened” by the development.
“It deeply saddens me to say that my beloved mother is gone,” she wrote.
Johnson urged fans and well-wishers to pray for her family and asked that their privacy should be respected as they mourn.
“This is a trying time for my family and we would appreciate your prayers, even as we plead for our privacy at this time. Thank you,” she added.
The ‘Live to Remember’ actress is married to Odianosen Okojie. Together, they have three children.
Elizabeth Johnson is survived by her husband Daniel Johnson, a former naval officer.
