The late APC governorship candidate in Last Saturday’s electionin Kogi State, Prince Abubakar Audu, was laid to rest this afternoon in his palatial compound in Ogbonicha, his home town amist wailling by his teeming folowers. Notable dignitaries who witnessed the burial include: Chief John Oyegun, the national chairman of the APC; Senator Osita Izunaso, APC national organising secretary, ex-gov Lucky Igbinedion, of Edo state; Senator Dino Melaye; Abiodun Faleke, Audu’s running mate at the election; Rabiu Kwankwaso, former Kano state governor; Abubakar Badaru, Jigawa state governor and Yomi Awoniyi, the Kogi state deputy governor.
Others are Senator George Akume, a former Benue state governor; Jubril Aminu, the former chief of naval staff and Isa Ithotho.
