Eldest son and scion of late Chief Moshood Abiola, undeclared winner of June 12, 1993, Presidential election, Abdulateef Kola Abiola, on Tuesday, formally received the national honour of the Grand Commander of the Federal Republic on behalf of his late father.
President Muhammadu Buhari presented the insignia to him after the citation of the late politician was read at the venue of the well-attended June 12 commemorative event holding inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
So also, Ganiat, wife of late Nigeria’s foremost lawyer and human rights activist, Gani Fawehinmi, formally received the national honour of the Grand Commander of the Order of Niger on behalf of her late husband.
