Veteran Nollywood actress, Bukky Ajayi, has died. She was 82 years.Ajayi studied drama at the Institute of Drama, London and has been active in the Nigerian entertainment industry in a career spanning over three decades.
She was part of the TV series Village Headmaster which aired in the 1980s.
She also featured in several other soaps and films and was honoured with a lifetime achievement at the last AMVCA
The veteran actress drew tears from the audience and her admirers this year at the AMVCA after she got a standing ovation for her Lifetime Achievement Award.
She said, “I wish I could stand up. But if I stand up I will fall down. Are you all standing for me? Thank you. I am very very grateful to you.”
Family sources have told The Punch that veteran Nollywood actress, will be buried today according to Islamic rites.
The late actress, died earlier today.
