FG bans SPY plate numbers

The inspector-general of police, Alhaji Usman Alkali has ordered an immidiate ban on the use of police SPY vehicle number plates across the country. In a statement on Wednesday, the IGP said the ban is without exception — “irrespective of whether it is authorised or not”. The IGP said all authorisations are also revoked indefinitely. Wadume, Taraba’s notorious kidnap king re-arrested

The Nigerian Police have announced the re-arrest of Hamisu Wadume, the suspected kidnap gang leader whose arrest, earlier, led to the killing of three policemen and a civilian in Taraba state by soldiers at a roadblock. According to a statement authored by Frank Mba, Force Public Relations Officer, Wadume was re-arrested at his hideout at Layin Mai Allo Hotoro area of Kano state.
