Updated: NIMN inagurate disciplinary panels, to hold AGM

In a quest to build a very strong and highly professional Institute guided by law and order, the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria inaugurated its disciplinary and investigating panels to maintain discipline in professional marketing practice in Nigeria.

Tony Agenmonmen, fnimn, President/Chairman of Council of the institute presided over the event held at Radisson Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, on May 7, 2021 where the two panels were inaugurated and charged them to dispense their duties without fear of favour.

Agenmonmen noted that “the act setting up the Institute envisages a formal structure for the maintenance of discipline in professional marketing practice in Nigeria thus the setting up of a Disciplinary Tribunal” and that “last year at our AGM, the NIMN Code of Professional Marketing Practice was approved by members of the Institute” describing it as the first significant step towards that structure.

Members of the Institute’s Disciplinary Tribunal include Dr. Ify Uraih, as Chairman, Prince Femi Oyewole, Dr. Onyekachi Onubogu, Mrs Evelyn Nwosu, Chidiebere Nwankpa, Adebowale Adebayo and Prof. Mike Ikupolati while the Investigating Panel consist of Mrs. Angela Ukara-Makinwa as Chairman with Chidiebere Nwankpa and Adebowale Adebayo as members.

The NIMN President also used the opportunity to announce May 27-28, 2021 as dates fixed for the Institute’s annual general meeting and elections of new executives who will take over the affairs of the body as the present administration winds down at the end of this year.
