Modupe Jokotola Shode, a retired Deputy Director of Nursing Services, Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), a Fellow of the West African College of Nursing will be joining the Editorial Board of National Infinity Magazine as a guest columnist
Mrs. Shode, who retired from Lagos State Civil Service in 2017, holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Nursing Science from the National Open University of Nigeria, was dubbed the other Nightingale, during her active year in service, in recognition of her caring and display of uncommon kindness to the welfare of patience as well as staff under her watch.
Shode holds a diploma in Nursing Administration and Management from the University of Benin, having obtained her Registered Midwife certificate at the Lagos State School of Midwifery, Ikoyi, Lagos, and as a Registered Nurse at the School of Nursing, State Hospital, Ijaiye, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
She is currently a Clinical Lecturer at department of nursing, Lagos State University College of Medicine, LASUCOM.
Her column, #YourHealthMatters, will run on Thursdays effective 13th of May, 2021 and will focus on health issues as it affects individuals and the family while at the same time proffering solutions through counselling where necessary.
Modupe is married to a retired Air Force officer; George Shode and the union is blessed with children and grandchildren.
