Ebele Obiano, wife of Willie Obiano, the immediate past governor of Anambra State, on Thursday, got a “farewell” slap from Mrs Bianca Ojukwu, wife of late Dim Emeka Ojukwu at the inauguration ceremony of her husband’s successor, Charles Soludo.
According to a report by a News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) correspondent who was at the scene of the event, the incident occurred immediately after Soludo took his oath of office.
Though earlier reports suggested that Mrs. Ebele Obiano, wife of the now ex-governor, Chief Willie Obiano who slapped Mrs. Ojukwu, it was indeed Mrs. Ojukwu who slapped Obiano’s wife following a verbal abuse by the former first lady against her.
New video evidence shows Mrs. Obiano suddenly leaving her seat to go where Mrs. Ojukwu was seated to verbally abuse ger.
Mrs. Ojukwu who was said to be provoked by the abuse stood up slapped her and dragged her wig off her head leading to a fight between the duo. They were, however, quickly separated.
But the incident caused disruption to the oath of office taking event by Prof Charles Soludo who was signing some documents.
